Physical Education (PE)

Hi! I am Coach Kool. I have been at Barksdale for 20 years and in Plano ISD for 36 years. I am also a product of PISD as I was a 1985 graduate of Plano East Sr. High. I went K-12 in Plano ISD.

My husband, Russ, and I have 2 grown daughter who are both married to amazing husbands. Our oldest, Alyssa lives in Omaha with her husband, Joshua, and is a veterinarian and most importantly, they are the parents of our only grandchild, Hazel. I am her Cissie and it is the greatest joy in my life! Our youngest daughter, Alexis, and her husband, Tanner, live in Pilot Point but she teaches High school English in Celina. We are thankful and blessed by our family.

Teaching Physical Education is what I knew I wanted to do from a very young age. I attended Tulane University and played basketball for them. After graduating and finishing my student teaching I moved back to Plano and have lived here since. Getting to teach all students all six years is the absolute best! I love this school and community. Barksdale is the best! 

In my free time you can find me listening to live music, working out at Orangetheory, walking my dog, Bo, and spending time with my family!
